Sandra Browne job is to tend to George Street Middle School’s library and read most of the library’s reading material so when the students ask questions about a book or asks for a recommendation she has extensive knowledge about what she is being asked.

What are your favourite books out of our six books, and why?

“I love The Rule of Three, I picked it up and I had to read the next one! I have talked to some students and they didn’t like the ending but, I liked the ending, I thought it have hope. The only thing is though the second book in the series was sort of depressing. What I like the most bout the book  is how When this 16 year old boy’s community goes through a complete black out they all over come it, despite people who just want to steal what they have made to survive.”

What is your favourite author of the six author’s that have written our picked books, and why?

“ My favourite author out of the six would be again taking it back to the rule of three would have to be Eric Walters. After I finished The Rule of Three series I started reading other books by Eric Walters. The other though I like about Eric Walters is that he is Canadian and lives in Toronto and the Rule of Three takes place in Toronto.”

Did you like any books by Eric Walters?

Once I finished the Rule Of Three I had to go back and read some other books by Eric Walters. He has written Shaken, Run, Going Home and Renaissance but I wasn't really wild about that one. It’s set it the future and they take one hundred kids and send them into space to search for a new planet because Earth has been destroyed. Shaken was a good one it was about a boy who goes to Haiti to build schools but while he is there they have that big earthquake so then he was in a country where he doesn’t know anyone everything is falling apart and he has to figure out how to survive and let the other people know that he is ok. He also wrote this book called Alexandria The Great. You just grow to hate this girl, she is super rich and she thinks that no one can touch her. So one day she shoplifts three hundred dollars worth of stuff just because she can, so she gets caught she is give a choice of going to jail or going to Africa to help build schools. So she pick Africa. I really enjoyed that one too.”

What is your favourite book Genre?

“That’s sort of difficult to say but I do love a good Si-Fi book but I am really not a fantasy person. One o the other actors that I loved that is not your adult is Stephan King, I have been a Stephan King fan since I was fourteen years old but he is not really Science Fiction writer, he’s more horror. So I don't really know. I also read romance books because it’s part of my job. I like the Romance books but I can’t get into them like I can get into at Science Fiction book.”

If you could co-write a novel with any of these six authors who would it be?

“I would want to co-write with Eric Walters. I would want to co-write with Eric Walters because he is Canadian and I believe in helping out Canadian authors I also ended almost all of his books”

What would your top three books be out of George Street Middle School’s Library?

“Rule of Three would be one and the series Gone by Micheal Grant, that book came out about six years ago and but I read them on my ko-bo and once I read them I thought I have to get these books to the library. But when they came they were all like three inches thick and I didn't realize hoe big these books were. What the books are about how all the population that is over the age of fourteen disappears. So when all the remaining population realized all the adults were gone they thought yay party time. but after they figured out that if you had a younger sibling you would have to take care of them. The third one I really liked I just finished its called Zach’s Lie. It’s about a boy’s family that is pushed into a witness protection program all because of something his dad did. so now all of a sudden he has to change his name and he cant’s do any of the things he used to do. There are two books in the series the second one is called  Jake’s Run. They are both by Roland Smith.”

If you could give a book recommendation which book would it be?

“I would say read Zach’s Lie if you haven't already. I have been taking all the books off the shelfs that haven’t been taken out in seven years and reading them and that’s how found Zach’s Lie.

What is your least favourite books in George Street Middle School’s Library?

“Right now it’s The Cat That Sniffed Glue it is just as boring as get out! I wasn’t really wild about Paper Towns’s either. Another one is Called Redwood which isn't going to be in the library any more. But I am tied because the book is an award winner but it’s also very boring. It usually only takes me about two days to finish a book this size but it was so boring I didn't even finish it. The book is about two kids one of them just moved in and they both spy on this old man and the old man thinks he can make gold out of coal.

Which books out of our six have you read?

“I have read Wonder, Paper Towns, The Rule of Three and The Cavendish Home For Boys And Girls although that one sort of freaked me out. But I have not read The girl With All The Gifts or The Hatching. I find a lot of the time the way we find out about a book we might wan to read is through word of mouth. even among the teachers in the staff room if they have read a good book they would ask people if anyone else has read it. And usually after that you want to read it.

But how do you know it’s a good read. because there all these books that are so good but no one signs them out. Meanwhile there are some books we can’t keep on the se]helves because everyone is read the same books.

Which books out of out six are your least favourite?

“Well it’s kind of hard to say because I haven’t read two of them but out of the four I have read I would have to say Paper Towns. I found that the book just went one and it just didn’t have much direction. It was a mystery so maybe I just don’t like mysteries.

What is your least favourite authors out of six that have written the chosen books?

“I don’t know it’s hard to say because a writer can write a book that’s not that good and then they can write a really good book. So I never say I don’t like this writer because they can Write a book that ends up being really good.”
